Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology

Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology course offered by MVM College of ParaMedical Sciences is affiliated to the  Para Medical Board Karnataka and is recognised by the Government of Karnataka.

Commencement of session : August

Course Duration

  • The duration of the course will be for two years for PUC candidates.
  • The candidates with SSLC qualification shall study for three years. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology of PUC standard shall be taught in the first year of the course to these students.


A candidate is considered eligible for diploma in ophthalmic technology if he/she has got a 10+2 degree. Preference is given to those candidates who have biology in their course. 


  • The candidate should have attained the minimum age of 15 years as on 31st December prior to the year of admission.
  • Upper age limit would be 35 years.
  • In the case of Inservice, SC & ST candidates upper age limit would be 40 years.

Attendance Requirement

A minimum of 75% for both theory and practical (regular class) in each subject is required.

Industrial Tour & Training

As per the guidelines, every student must undergo industrial training to get hands-on experience. The objective being to provide practical knowledge of the applications of theory and to extend the scope of learning. 

Internal Assessment Marks

The internal assessment will be conducted in the college at least twice in a year and the marks list containing the average of these two internal assessments will be submitted to the Board well before the commencement of the Board examination by the Principal.
