And in our MVM Institute we celebrated the day for awareness of the day .Various performances was done to spread awareness by our physiotherapy students such as mime act, sign language of disability person, and posters regarding disability persons etc .
Through the Mime Act, we remind the people that “DISABILITY IS NOT A INABILITY ” In act we shown the hardships of the disabled persons and how the opportunities of the disabled take part fully in community life enjoying all of the rights and benefits non disabled citizens have .A welfare society is judged by how effectively it deals with the three groups of population at their time of needs.
The observance of the Day aims to promote an understanding of disability issues and mobilize support for the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities. It also seeks to increase awareness of gains to be derived from the integration of persons with disabilities in every aspect of political, social, economic and cultural life.
