FITT PRINCIPLE: EXERCISE TRAINING

The FITT principle is an acronym that represents, Frequency, Intensity, Time, and Type. It can be used by anyone, beginner or experienced, for any type of activity. It can also be used by therapists, in the patient population, for individuals recovering from a condition.

This principle can be used for many variables of training namely: Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance , Cardiovascular Endurance and Flexibility Training.

According to the type of training, the FITT (Frequency, Intensity, Time, Type) variables are set.

Benefits:

  • It can be used for all fitness levels ( beginners and elite)
