Candidates seeking admissions to Under Graduate (UG) should have obtained their qualifications from a recognized Board / University.

Under Graduate (UG) Admission

MVM College of Pharmacy considers candidates with the following Boards / qualifications:

  1. GCE ‘A’ Levels
  2. International Baccalaureate (IB), or
  3. Others like 12 Year High School Diploma from accredited Schools of USA; 12 years General Secondary Education Certificate of the Ministry of Education Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and other Gulf countries; Intermediate / Senior Secondary / Higher Secondary examinations of the approved Boards in Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal etc.

International Boards

The eligibility is based on the qualifications recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi. Refer for full list of foreign qualifications, as equivalent to the Pre-University or 12th Grade qualification of India, for the purposes of admission in Indian centers of higher education.

  1. University of Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Levels / Edexcel GCE ‘A’ Levels / British Examining Bodies
  2. International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) or General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) or GCE ‘O’ Levels (11 years of schooling): Equated to 10thgrade of an Indian Board
  3. Advanced Subsidiary (AS) Level (12 years of schooling): Equated to 11thgrade of an Indian Board
  4. GCE ‘A’ Levels (13 years of schooling): Equated to 12thgrade of an Indian Board

Candidate seeking admission to the Undergraduate (UG) programs offered by MVM College of Pharmacy should have completed:

  1. Minimum 5 (Five) passes at IGCSE / GCSE / GCE ‘O’ Levels including English
  2. Minimum 2/3 (Two / Three) passes at GCE Advanced Level (‘A’ Levels), depending on the program requirement
  3. Average of ‘D’ grade in 2/3 subjects at GCE Advanced Level (‘A’ Levels), depending on the program requirement
  4. Should meet subject-wise eligibility as laid down by the respective statutory bodies /council / university

Eligibility

  • Physics, Chemistry and Biology * (PCB) in the ‘A’ levels and English in the ‘AS’ / GCSE / IGCSE.

OR

  • Two science subjects in the ‘A’ Levels and 5 Passes in the GCSE / IGCSE including English and third Science subject, amongst PCB

*Minimum requirement is an average of ‘D’ grade in PCB

B. International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

  • IB Diploma candidate should take 3 subjects at Higher Level (HL) and 3 subjects at Standard Level (SL)
  • Candidate should have secured a minimum of 3 points in a subject
  • Candidate should have secured an overall minimum of 24 points, with 12 points in HL and 12 points in SL
  • Should meet the subject-wise eligibility as laid down by the respective statutory bodies / council / university

Eligibility

  • Candidate should have taken minimum 3 subjects in HL and 3 subjects in SL
  • Candidate should have secured a minimum of 3 points in a subject
  • Candidate should have secured an overall minimum of 24 points
  • Should meet the subject-wise eligibility as laid down by the respective statutory bodies / council / university.
  • The Prospective candidate should have studied English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and should have obtained:
    • IB Diploma or IB Certificate with Average of 4 points in PCB and overall minimum of 24 points
    • Minimum two Science subjects in HL
    • Third Science subject and English can be at HL or SL
    • Should have completed 17 years of age, as on 31st December of the year of admission.

Visa Requirements

Foreign Nationals

  • All foreign nationals admitted at MVM College of Pharmacy can only study with a Student Visa. Students’ should apply for a Student Visa that is valid for more than 180 days in the Indian Consulate / Embassy located in their countries. Such students on their arrival in India to start classes, will have to register online with the Foreigner’s Registration Office within 14 days of their arrival in India.

    Once registered the student will be issued a Registration Certificate (RC) and Registration Permit (RP) to his / her email address. A copy of the RC and RP will have to be submitted to the Admissions Office.

    Student will have to carry a copy of the RC / RP while travelling in India as well as produce it to the Immigration Office in the airport every time they return to their country. The FRO office for students admitted at Yelahanka campus is ­­­at 5th Floor, ‘A’ Block, TTMC, BMTC Bus Stand Building, K.H. Road, Shantinagar, NGO Colony, Wilson Garden, Bengaluru, Karnataka 560027.

    1. If the Student Visa expires during the course of their study, students will have to apply for extension of their student visa onlineat least 60 days prior to its expiry
    2. If the foreign national wants to apply for a Student Visa from their home country when they go on vacation, will have to collect the Bonafide Certificate from their respective institution / colleges and Eligibility Certificate from the Admissions Office.
    3. Foreign nationals should renew their RC and RP onlineas and when it expires or if they come with a new student visa.
    4. Foreign Citizens of Indian origin with a People of India (PIO) Card or an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are permitted to study in India without a Student Visa and need NOT register with the FRO.
